The plot of The Lost King of Oz felt disjointed and I was unengaged. This may be the worst Oz book I've read in a while. Certainly it's my least favorite of the Ruth Plumly Thompson books so far.

It's also the end of an era. My kid is growing out of bedtime stories. I'll be reading the rest of the Oz books on my own.
