In his book It's a Jungle Out There! Ron Snell tells stories about his childhood as a missionary kid in Peru. Some may find his stories outlandish, but as a missionary kid myself I find them quite believable. Riding a log downriver because you don't have a canoe? Sounds logical to me.

There's no real plot to the book. It is a collection of adventures from Snell's childhood, told in a humorous deadpan style that I particularly enjoy.
